Snap Out of It! A Wake up CallFeb 01, 2019
Today was a day.
That’s all I keep saying to myself and anyone who cares to listen. I couldnt sleep the night before, I was up for hours tossing and turning. After a few feeble hours of sleep, I popped up for my usual routine of intending to meditate and then pack up school lunches.
I sat for a bit, then stared into the mostly empty pantry… what will I pack? Never mind I’ll just do the dishes. I noticed I am feeling detached. Not from self but from reality. Within moments a dish slips out of the dishwasher and shatters all over the kitchen floor. Years ago this would have brought me to tears but today I shuffle through, most things don’t bother me anymore.
The day continues with a long hug goodbye to one of my girls, showing up late to preschool, being blinded by the sun and not knowing if the lane change I am about to make will kill me or someone else, being blinded by the sun again and nearly hitting a pedestrian riding their bike across the street and finally being rear ended. I didn’t even get out of the car… I had things to do!
Could my higher self be telling me something? Well if I was a client and coming to see me, I would say yes. Absolutely yes.
Dealing with the underlying issue
I felt the pressure in my heart chakra. like my soul jumped out and then sat back inside again. WAKE UP I hear the shouting, I continue to press along. When a mishap or small accident occurs, its our higher self trying to tell us something. Say we drop a dish, spill coffee on our shirt or get rear-ended. But what is it trying to say? Are you stressed and too tired to be able to concentrate? Are you distracted by an emotional issue that you put on the back burner?
If you have had an unfortunate occurrence or a succession of occurrences,
it’s time to get to the root of the issue.
Meditation is a great place to start. You don’t have to be sitting in silence with music and candles, albeit lovely, not necessary. Often something as simple as journaling can help you get to the root of the issue. eventually you will see a pattern with words, phrases etc. Notice where there is any tightening in your body. What is that spot saying to you? Is it hot, cold, numb, does it buzz or feel stuck? Once identified, acknowledge this space, feel what it feels like, ask what do you need and then sit quietly and LISTEN. Allow white light o fill your body from head to toe, touching every cell in your body. When you are centered and grounded you become more aware of your surroundings. Becoming aware will make you less prone to the more subtle ques from your higher self.
Big Accidents Snap out of it!
A big accident is cosmically designed to wake you up. Snap you out of it. Louise L. Hay suggests that accidents are the
Inability to speak up for the self. Rebellion against authority. Belief in violence.
Of course this could be the shadow self talking or shall we say taking charge. Shadow work takes time, sometimes years to release old patterns and thought processes. Belief patterns are likely something we are unaware of. Patterns and belief systems come from or childhood, from something we heard, witnessed or experienced. I am comfortable stating it could be as deep as from another life, from trauma imbedded in our spirit. Big accidents are indeed a wake up call. Are you focused too much in one arena, say work for instance, that you neglect the time your family wants/needs to be with you? Are you tearing yourself in half between family and work and have no time for self? Once you find the root cause and create balance the healing begins. I promise doing the work is well worth it.
The new thought pattern to create is I release the pattern in me that created this. I am at peace. I am worthwhile.
Let’s talk about illness for a moment. Illness is no accident. It too is cosmically designed for communication. What does it feel like to hear me say, you create your own illnesses? Allow that to sit for a moment. Walk away if you have too, then come back. We create our own illness. I know it sounds absurd at first I mean, why would you want yourself to be sick? Our emotions are the key here. Illness however mild or severe is an indicator of our emotional state, caused by your thoughts and focus.
I have long thought about this since I was a child. I can see it, smell it, feel it. This is why I have chose a path to become a healer. We have the ability to choose what our reality is. How many songs pop into your thoughts when you think about love? Love is the key, love is the answer. Love is the lightest of the rays of light. When we begin to love Ourselfs, we begin to heal Ourselfs. Thoughts and words have an emotional effect on our body. Words carry vibrations and then they can either support or distort our emotional well being which in turn affects our physical bodies. Amazing!
How many out there have battled depression? I’m not talking about the sadness that happens from time to time (which is challenging to overcome) I am talking about the deep darkness that resides within and you feel hopeless, heavy, lost. I have. I am here to say you can overcome it. Even when we think we have addressed a past issue and healed it, it comes back up again. The key is learning to love yourself in the light and in the dark. Once you begin to love you, the world begins to love you, everything you want will flow naturally.
